I did not plan on taking this picture. I saw them on the table and liked the way that they looked.

Behind The Lens

Location

This is probably the best photo I have ever taken. My mom had just bought these beautiful flowers and had put them on the dinning room table. It was one of those moments where you see something and immediately have to take a photo of it. So that is what I did.

Time

It was probably around 1:00 in the afternoon. I wasn’t doing anything particularly exciting when I took the photo. I saw the flowers and they just spoke to me I guess.

Lighting

The only thing I really wanted was for the flowers to be the main focus. I didn’t want the vase, or the table, or anything extra. I just wanted it to look like flowers were almost floating there.

Equipment

I used my cannon camera. I’m not entirely sure what brand it is (sorry I’m a newbie). But that was it, just me and my camera.

Inspiration

It was just a beautiful afternoon. The sun was shinning in through the window behind it and it seemed like a perfect opportunity to take a spectacular photo. I knew if I didn’t take it I would regret it later.

Editing

I am honestly not entirely sure what I did. I just messed around with the saturation and the background colors and the focus on the flowers. I kept working with it until I loved it.

In my camera bag

Just my camera and a charger. I’m simple and I am not entirely sure what I’m doing just yet.

Feedback

Honestly I am not going to sit here and pretend that I know what I’m talking about. My advice would be to simply take photos of things that stand out to you and speak to you and your soul. Edit them and work with them until you love them because your opinion is really the only one what matters. Don’t take beauty for granted, capture those moments because I promise you if you don’t you will regret it later.
