Behind The Lens

Location

This Photo was taken in a Parking Lot of a Local Mall where conditions was perfect to make this Audi stand out with all it's amazing features and thats why i have fallen in love with Automotive Photography

Time

In the Night time you get to much more with some strobe lights to get the right features on the Car plus to block out some unsightly background objects like ugly building or anything you don't like. This Photo was taken about 10 PM at Night

Lighting

I used 1 400watt strobe light and took images around the car to highlight the Cars features and then stitched it all together to make this image. I also used a Portable speedlight to highlight the little details like the mags of the Car.

Equipment

I used my 6D Canon camera with a 400watt Falcon Eyes Strobe light with a Canon 430 speedlight.

Inspiration

I always liked automotive photography and when my friends dad bought the audi R8, I just needed to Photograph it and try my best to feature the car in it's best way by looking at all the details and was inspired by the looks of the car because it had all the features i liked about a car.

Editing

I took a few photos with the Strobe light on certain parts of the car and the in post process i stitched it all together to create the image, this was to insure that i get the perfect image.

In my camera bag

I carry with me all times a Canon 6D DSLR and a 50mm Lens because i am a big fan of the 50mm lens because of it's sharpness plus my 2 x 400watt Falcon Eyes Strobe Lights

Feedback

My Advice would be to anyone trying automotive photography is to see the result ahead before even beginning so that you know where everything would be so that you post process runs smooth plus stitching images together will make you image stand out from just shooting the car straight with alot of strobes, it takes a bit longer but the result shows itself.
