Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Great Ocean Road, The 12 Apostles, Melbourne, Australia. I went on a day tour trip with 24 people on 14 March 16.

Time

It was about 3.00pm.

Lighting

I used natural light because that afternoon the sun was a little shinning. I was lucky as in the morning, it was Autumn season so the sky was cloudy.

Equipment

I used Canon PowerShot SX700 HS, f/4,1/1250 sec,ISO-125,focal length 7mm, max aperture 3.625 and no flash. I did not use tripod.

Inspiration

I always love landscapes and the 12 Apostles are famous for its breathtaking sceneries in Melbourne. I had been there twice but still wanting to comeback. I took this photo when coming back there second time.

Editing

Yes. I used Photoshop to enhance it. I fixed the image with the curves and adjusted the output to about 102. I lifted the exposure to around 0.80+ so the image is looking better.

In my camera bag

I have one small Sony Cyber-shot DSC and a Canon Powershot SX700. I also have a small tripod.

Feedback

Taking many photos of the same scene that you love at different angles and positions. I stood at around 45 degree angle to take this picture and so far this is my best shot for the same scene.
