Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in a beautiful village park called Aden in Mintlaw in the north east of Scotland.

Time

It was autumn, taken in the afternoon.

Lighting

Nothing special! It was a sunny winters day, with vibrant sunlight shimmering through the trees

Equipment

I used a Canon 1100d with a 28-300mm lens.

Inspiration

The little girl was a vibrant happy child, running all over the place. I wanted to try and capture her happiness.

Editing

I did a little post processing in lightroom.

In my camera bag

In my bag, I have a 300mm telephoto a wide angle, and a standard kit lens. Not forgetting my trusty nifty 50. I do though tend to use a different lens each time I'm out and about.

Feedback

If you want to get good candid shots like this one, you need to keep an eye on your subject and the environment the subject is moving around in. Keeping a careful eye on your camera settings so the shot isn't ruined because of the light.
