Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken at a Wildlife refuge for birds in WA state. Being a self taught photographer it is a great place to capture birds in motion.

Time

The shot was taken mid afternoon.

Lighting

I tend to like using natural lighting as often as possible for my shots.

Equipment

This photo was taken using a Canon Rebel T5i with a 55-250 lens. No other equipment was used for this shot.

Inspiration

I was practicing motion shots and I saw these beautiful colored birds. I spent a good 30 mins just focusing in on the spot they kept landing and started shooting. I got lucky with this shot and it inspired me to continue shooting birds in motion.

Editing

Other than cropping the photo a bit, nompost processing was done.

In my camera bag

I always have my Canon Rebel T5i with me and my 55-250mm lens which is my lens of choice at this time. Other than that I don't normally take any other equipment with me.

Feedback

Practice and patience! You never know what you will capture.
