Behind The Lens

Location

My husband has family in Breaux Bridge, LA. His aunt and uncle had just taken us to brunch at Cafe Des Amis on the way back to home in Bayou Teche, I saw this beautifully weathered building with this bright red-orange door and I asked that we pull over so I could take a photo. His aunt and uncle had driven by this building for 50+ years but had never seen it as a work of art...until they saw my photo and they liked. The walls of Cafe Des Amis is Always covered with modern and abstract art, and there was an art gallery a couple of doors down. Which goes to show you, not all art is hanging on a wall with a price tag!

Time

Noonish

Lighting

Bright, sunny day with a lot of South Louisiana humidity in the air!

Equipment

I don’t remember. I think it was my Nikon D-50?

Inspiration

Just look at it!!!

Editing

I think I did a few minor adjustments on the contrast and sharpness. It’s been a while.

In my camera bag

My iPhone but I used to carry my Nikon D-90. Now I have a Canon G7X I carry occasionally.

Feedback

Art is EVERYWHERE!!!
