My husband has family in Breaux Bridge, LA. His aunt and uncle had just taken us to brunch at Cafe Des Amis on the way back to home in Bayou Teche, I saw this beautifully weathered building with this bright red-orange door and I asked that we pull over so I could take a photo. His aunt and uncle had driven by this building for 50+ years but had never seen it as a work of art...until they saw my photo and they liked. The walls of Cafe Des Amis is Always covered with modern and abstract art, and there was an art gallery a couple of doors down. Which goes to show you, not all art is hanging on a wall with a price tag!Time
