Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo about 300 feet from my condo building. we had a huge snowstorm the night before. I live in Colorado.

Time

I remember waking up early in the morning and looking out my window and being amazed at the beauty of the newly fallen snow. Everything was so quiet and peaceful and no wind so I decided to go outside and get a few shots of the beautiful snow!

Lighting

I just used the natural light of the morning and then edited it in lightroom to bring out the colors of the bushes and bridge etc.

Equipment

I used my Nikkon camera with the regular lens.

Inspiration

I was inspired by how the bridge looked all covered with snow!

Editing

I remember using adobe lightroom to enhance the colors and bring out the dreamy feeling of the snow. I used the raw setting.

In my camera bag

I usually have my regular lens, my distance lens and my macro lens and my tripod in it's case.

Feedback

I try to always use raw and a tripod. I try to take advantage of the magic hours when I do a shoot --- which is one hour after sunrise or one hour before sunset.
