Yes, the darker one is a Juvenile Eagle. Takes about 5 years of molting to become a mature eagle Mother_Nature

Wow I didn't realize it took so long for them to mature. We have had a nesting pair about 3 lots down from us for years now. They love to sit on the Gary oak on the cliff, and it's not unusual to see, both mature and juvenile hanging out there. The kids come home for a visit :)
