Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken on the floor of my kitchen

Time

This was taken in the late evening, on a night where I couldn't sleep, and so just started playing around.

Lighting

I was just playing around with settings on the camera with the sting of lights on my kitchen floor with the lights in the room out when my cat decided to get in on the fun!

Equipment

Rebel EoS T31 Canon, 50 mm lens, 1/20 sec with f/1.8, and ISO 1600 no flash as I wanted to shoot the lights

Inspiration

Just the way my cat was situated in front of the string of lights. I played around with a few different poses with him, as he would allow, trying to keep it fun and interesting for him to keep him willing to take part

Editing

yes, I changed it to a black and white from a monochromatic

In my camera bag

75-200 mm, 50 mm, and kit lens.

Feedback

When working with animals, just let it happen and try and stay down on their level. Keep it fun and interesting for them to keep them wanting to take part with you. Do not try and force them to do something they don't want to do. Lots of treats and praise help as well!
