I took this photo in Victoriaville Quebec Canada. In fall 150 000 geese came on the reservoir beaudet. It is wonderful and they are very near of us. It is almost possible to touch them.Time
Usually, it is better to go around 11h because they come back of the field. I took my photo between 11 and 14hr. After they go back to the field again.Lighting
This day the sun was absent but I always want emotion on my photo. So I added a bit of heat.Equipment

I love geese. Every fall I went there and tried to memorise special moment. A lot of peaple take photos of them, but when I capte a great moment I feel proud. Photos of nature are hard to take sometimes because we have to deal with the environment ans many suprises..Editing
Yes, I ajust fall colors. My photos are always in RAW so I often need to fix the colors. I did this in lightroom. I also crop a little bit.In my camera bag
I always have my camera and my lens. For this photo I had tamron lens but now I have 100-400 canon lens and I carry just this one. I sometime use the canon 500mm lens. In this case, I also carry my 100-400 with my camera 7D mark2.Feedback
If you want to do photo of geese, you have to be patient. You also have to wait long time before the first photo. So in this time you can ajust and practiced. It is always better to arrive early, because you can choose the best place to be. Birds' photos need concentration and control self. There are often full of great suprises. Good luck!
