Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Talcher, Odishha, India. I'm new in photography, so every moment is new challenge for me...

Time

This photo was taken on a March, 2016. What i'm remembered, that was a very hot day, temperature around 42°C, water level as low as waist height. So I take the chance to go through into the deep & stand at waist height water to take the shot...

Lighting

It was afternoon around 1:30 pm, sunlight is going to washout my exposure, suddenly I realize greenish water colour , but the background sky lost its blueish colour due to sunlight, so I use a green filter to make the water & sky both in same tone.

Equipment

This shot was taken with Sony slt a58 with 18-55mm lens in Manual focus mode with focus peaker on. No tripod was used because the photo was taken at waist level water.

Inspiration

Rule of third is my favourite framing, always trying to capture image using this framing, when I found the boat standing isolated on the river, I don't want to waste the opportunity, go through into the river & capture this using the same rule.

Editing

No post-processing done because the greenish tone created by green filter glass & image was captured with in camera HDR lvl 3.

In my camera bag

I always carry Sony a58 body with 18-55mm & 55-200mm lens with colour filter & polarize glass with a rain & dust proof cover.

Feedback

There are number of framing available in photography, just use what u like or make your own style framing. Just shoot what u like, learn from others photography & imply it in your practice.
