Location

This photo was taken in my home at my desk. I have been interested in photography since high school and I also dabble in makeup and fx makeup so this was a nice combination of the two.

Time

I took this photo early morning on a Saturday, the lighting was nice so I decided to take advantage. I took inspiration from my favorite band Twenty-one Pilots, who were playing in the background.

Lighting

The lighting in the photo was relatively simple. There was some nice natural light streaming in from a window to my right.

Equipment

Surprisingly enough this photo was taken with natural lighting and a cell phone camera set to black and white.

Inspiration

I took inspiration from my favorite band Twenty-one Pilots, who were playing in the background. The lead singer is known for wearing black paint on his neck and hands. I also have the band's symbol painted on my face.

Editing

Just a dimple black and white filter and a blurred background

In my camera bag

I usually just have my Canon Rebel t5 with an extra lense and my cell phone camera for quick shots.

Feedback

Lighting is key here. You want to make sure you have just the right contrast for black and white pictures.
