Rocky Dawg loves to help out in my little studio under the house. He will sit on or in anything and pose away until he gets his photo takenTime

With this image I had just set up two continuous lighting softboxes and wanted to play around with positioning in relation to the subject.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 7D, 24-70 f2.8L lens. Which is my go to general purpose lens.Inspiration
Rocky Dawg is helping me learn new tricks, be it lighting, props or different editing techniques. Everyone needs a subject to learn on and my Rocky Dawg is always willing.Editing
All my images are processed in Camera Raw and Photoshop. This image is just a nice clean edit.In my camera bag
Canon 7D, the old version ;) I never go ANYWHERE on a shoot without my Sigma 10-20 wideangle. I particularly like my 85mm f1.2 Lseries Canon for portraits, outdoors as it gives great background. Canon 24-70mm f2.8 L series is my all purpose lens, I've climbed rainforest trees, and trecked creeks with that thing attached. Love it. AND of course I have an 100mm Macro L series Canon as well. Which I multipurpose for portraiture and macro functions.Feedback
Always have treats or something the animal is interested in. I make a LOT of silly noises to get a reaction and a good facial expression. It is all about the eye contact as well. A well presented photo can fall flat without the viewer being engaged by the eye contact.
