This is a shot from a larger body of work from 2010, looking at abandoned farm buildings at nighttime. Having grown up in the countryside, I had always been intimidated by the sinister nature of these forgotten structures, and at the same time in awe of their beauty when nature reclaims them. This shot was taken at 10:20pm in April 2010, and exposed for 3.5 seconds. I created the light source within using a lantern torch and red filter.
