Back roads meandering through the Iowa countryside often lead you to historic views of farming life. Many old barns are being replaced or destroyed to make room for modern buildings while some slowly die taking on the character of the past in the beauty of the present. The old barns are a passion of mine. This composition was captured in Adair County, Iowa at sunset which blanketed the subject in a warm glow.
