This lion is a 3-year old male from the Rekero pride of the Masai Mara, Kenya. He and his two brothers survived a violent take over by an adult male. The Masai we spoke to had never seen a full grown male in a tree. A slightly different version of this photo won a National Geographic Your Shot Daily Dozen Award last year.
