Behind The Lens
Location
On the beach of Bray-Dunes, in France. During a local kite festival, the evenings are spend with free flying on the beach against a sunset. The layers of sand and sea water work well with the layered clouds and a setting sun. I took a shot or 10 while the sun went behind the cloud and my wife was flying our kite. This one was the best :-)Time
Obviously, the sunset at sea is always a bonus, you just have to be lucky with the clouds and wind.Lighting
nope, just the sunEquipment
Canon Powershot SX280, no tripod, no flashInspiration
I had a lot of kite flying pictures, but against a sunset was often tried but never really succeeded.Editing
In those days, I had no Photoshop, just did some small corrections on pictures in Faststone Image Viewer. Nothing was done on this picture! In my camera bag
These days I have a EOS 760D from Canon, with a couple of lenses (prime 24, 50, 60; tele 18-55, 18-200)Feedback
Take a lot of shots, you can't see on your camera what the result will be. It's a bit trial and error.
