Behind The Lens

Location

Isle of May on the Firth of Forth on the east coast of Scotland.

Time

It was taken at approximately 15.00pm

Lighting

The light was poor on the day with the sky being a blue grey colour with no clouds to be seen.

Equipment

Canon 650D, Sigma 70-200mm f2.8, Manfroto ball head tripod.

Inspiration

Special day out with friends to the small Isle of May National Nature Reserve to try to capture these little birds in flight with mouths full of sand eels, which was very difficult so had to settle for this shot on the cliffs edge.

Editing

Only cropped, slight adjusting of levels and a little sharpen.

In my camera bag

Canon 650D, Sigma 70-200mm f2.8, Tamron 17-55mm f2.8, Canon 24-105mm f4 plus various filters,spare batteries and cards.

Feedback

A bigger lens would help greatly to get closer and lots of patients.
