The variable sunbird, Cinnyris venustus on a bird of paradise flower. These flowers need the sunbirds to polinate. They insert their beaks into the purple part, and the weight of the birds standing on the spathe opens it to release the pollen onto the bird's feet, then its deposited onto the next flower it visits.
