Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a park in my home town - Bucharest.

Time

This photo was taken on May 24, 2015 at 4:01 PM. I was walking in the park when I saw the swans - so delicate and the light was just perfect...

Lighting

The sun light was falling on the leaves and because of that the water seams green. It was inspiring seeing the white swan in the light and the black ones in the shadow, like a story.

Equipment

To remember that moment, I took the shot with my camera - Sony DSC-W180. I didn't used other equipment, I don't have any. :)

Inspiration

I love the contrast between black and white, light and shadow. The peaceful scene made my think of a painting.

Editing

Usually I try to take a good shot from the beginning. I don't like the photos that are too much post-processed, in my opinion when that happens the subject is losing its inner beauty.

In my camera bag

I don't have other equipment then my compact camera Sony DSC-W180. I plan to buy another camera, to better show how I picture the world. :)

Feedback

We walk every day seeing landscapes, people, animals, birds, tiny insects, but we are always in a hurry so we really don't see all that, we miss it. If we would stop for a moment, if we would open our eyes and look around, we will be astonished by the simplicity and beauty of the things. I think that the secret of a great shot is not about the camera you have (although it helps a lot), is more about focusing on what moves you, on what makes you feel something, anything.
