After many years of emigrating to Australia, I went back to visit my family in the Solomon Islands. These are children from my mother's village, Nusa Roviana, sitting and waiting for the dancers to perform for the Christmas celebrations. After asking them a few questions and trying to make them smile, this is their response. They're very shy and with curious eyes, keep staring at the camera and the strange lady that was holding it. What an experience.
