Hey do you know what you just did? I thought this is a famous piece of art hanging somewhere on a golden wall! I tried to not get too much into it but this gets a giant thumb up!

I like the color/black-and-white experiment. If you have the option, you might consider leveling the picture a bit with your software, so your subjects aren't leaning. With the ground horizon going the other way in the backround, it makes one want to lean a little to see it.
