Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo of our yearlings playing in the spray from an irrigation hose in the middle of summer on a very hot day.

Time

This was taken in the middle of the day. The temperature was around 30 degrees celsius.

Lighting

The dark pine trees in the background help show up the water droplets

Equipment

I have a canon 600D with a EFS 55-250 lens with the aperture wide open to get the blurred background.

Inspiration

The horse was pulling the most unusual faces trying to capture the rain drops. I haven't seen her do this since. A once in a life time shot

Editing

No post processing

In my camera bag

I only had the two kit lenses at the time with just the canon 600d. Life has changed considerably and I now have loads more.

Feedback

Keep your eye open and a camera ready for the opportunistic moments
