Welcome to VB. Lovely view with blowing snow. Especially like the focus on the FG.
Best wishes,

Behind The Lens

Location

On the Ruth Glacier, approx. 9 miles from Mount Denali.

Time

It was taken between 5 and 6 PM, but it was taken at the end of May, when there was approx. 23 hours od daylight.

Lighting

Like I said, it was almost vernal equinox, and almost 24 hours of daylight. The biggest problem with the lighting, was the glare from the snow on the camera's display screen.

Equipment

No flash, no tripod, I do believe I used a 55-200 zoom lens.

Inspiration

The best part of Alaska, for me, was the mountains. They are inspiring, beautiful works of nature. To awaken everyday and see those snow capped peaks was almost religious, like looking into the face of god.

Editing

Nope.

In my camera bag

Two zoom lens, 18 to 55mm, and 55 to 300 (I upgraded after Alaska). Extra memory cards, lens wipes. And a pen.

Feedback

Carpenters say measure twice, cut once. I say bracket your pictures. Bracketing can help get the right shot.
