Location
This photo was taken from a friends boat as we were riding back up the Charles River in Boston. This is a bridge you have to pass under on the way to Boston Harbor.Time
It was late in the day right before sunset after a torrential downpour. We were on Boston Harbor watching the storm roll towards us and we didn't make it out of the way....to say we got wet was an understatement. We were soaked and cold but made the best out of it.Lighting
It was all natural light...closing in on sunset. The rusty girders took on a cool color as we were passing underneath them.Equipment
This was taken with my older Nikon D300 with a 24-120 lens.Inspiration
The city of Boston inspires me. Sunset inspires me. I try and see everything from a different perspective. So sunset and a cool bridge make for a perfect image.Editing
I like to use NIK Software for my editing need. I am sure I boosted the color and added a little more definition to it as well.In my camera bag
I usually carry my trusty Nikon D800 , Nikon 24-70, also a 50mm with two flashes,Feedback
The only advice I can give is try to look at things in a little different way. Put your own spin on what you see. Most of all just go out and have fun that is when the best pictures are taken.
