Location
I took this photo just after disembarking from the ferry at Olbia, Sardinia. We were driving through the town trying to find the correct route to our destination.Time
The sun was just going down over the sea as we were driving along the coast.Lighting
The way the light was shining on the sea and the colour of the sky was striking.Equipment
We were driving very slowly in traffic and I leant out of the car window with the camera I had in my handbag, a Nikon VCoolpix L3, to take the photo.Inspiration
I loved the way the trees, boats and people were silhouetted by the light so they appeared to be black.Editing
I did no post-processing at all, this is just the quick shot I took of a beautiful sunset over the sea.In my camera bag
I am strictly an amateur photographer and, if I think I might want to take photos whilst my main purpose is something else, I carry the Nikon VCoolpix L3 in my bag or on my belt. If I'm going somewhere where I know I will want to take photographs I take a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ62Feedback
This was a totally unplanned shot, I saw something I thought was beautiful and had to photograph it quickly as the car was moving. Sometimes you just need to snap a shot rather than lose it.
