Magnificent. Gosh, I would really love to do that. I've travelled extensively around Aus but never been to WA. Great job on this.

Location
This photo was taken in Broome, Australia at the most beautiful beach I came across so far. I was sitting on a camel myself while taking this picture, after getting back home I was pretty happy with the result. I even printed it on a big canvas and it's hanging in my living room now, reminding me of my awesome trip through Australia!Time
The picture is obviously taken during sunset, in the evening.Lighting
The sunset was amazing, I love all the colours that appear during a sunset, from black and dark blue all the way to my favourite colour orange.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon EOS 500d. Without a tripod with the basic 18-55mm. kit lens on it.Inspiration
The whole atmosphere around me was perfect for this picture. It was a nice, warm evening, I was enjoying an awesome camel ride and when the other group turned and walked just in front of the sea and sunset I just pointed and shoot!Editing
As I didn't shoot this image in RAW, I couldn't do that much of post-processing. From what I remember (the picture is taken 5 years ago) I only did something with contrast to make the colours look even more deeper and nicer. In my camera bag
I recently bought a new camera which replaced the Canon 500d. I'm now the owner of a Canon 80d. A bit more professional. Besides the body I always carry around 3 lenses. The 18-135mm. lens, a 50mm. lens and a 10-18mm. wide angle lens. Besides that I have some filters (ND and polarization) and of course batteries. I sometimes bring my tripod as well, but while traveling I try to find a steady spot for the long exposure shots.Feedback
My advice is to read and try a lot when you just start with photography. I learned everything myself, by reading blogs, writing the settings down on a paper and going into the field to try it myself. I am not familiar with all the technical details you can learn about your camera or best lighting conditions or whatever, but by trail and error I think of myself as an advanced photographer. So: just go out and explore our beautiful world!
