This image was one of my favorites from a photo shoot at my local pet shop.Time
This was taken in the middle of the day somewhere between 12 - 3 o'clock.Lighting
This was taken with natural light coming in from large windows in front of the store. The owner is part of a Poodle rescue organization and had 3 gorgeous standard Poodles.Equipment
I used a Canon T2i with a tripod.Inspiration
I love animals of all shapes, sizes, and kinds. My day at the pet shop let me interact with many different people and their furry, scaled, and feathered friends.One think was for sure is they all loved their pets and I met many wonderful creatures.Editing
For this image I used Photoshop to sharpen, enhance color and add the vignette.In my camera bag
I normally carry Canon Cameras (2 qty), fixed 50 and 85 mm lenses, light sources, dog biscuits and cat treats, lens wipes and hand sanitizer , shutter release remote, extra batteries and memory cards.Feedback
Pets are like peoples children so I always give the pets love as if they were mine. I always try to remember that I'm capturing precious memories for these pet moms and dads that will last well past the lives of these wonderful creatures. Allowing mom and or dad time to get their baby comfortable also allows me the time to get to know the animal for a few minutes before even trying to create an image worthy of being enlarged and hung in someones home. Nowadays everyone is a photographer with a decent camera on their phone so it is up to me to give them something they can't get on their own.
