Location
This image was taken near Waldport, Oregon on a rare sunny day in FebruaryTime
I was spending my last evening at the coast, and a beautiful serendipitous moment occurred when as the sun was setting, a mother playfully chased her child amongst the surreal rock formation.Lighting
I love all light and colour and editing, but sometimes mother nature overwhelms us all and provided the most wonderous.Equipment
This was shot with a rather inexpensive Fuji camera, which I no longer own. It had a cracked lens and many other bumps and bruised. But I am not one to give up. I kept using that camera for years, and still derived a lot of pleasure from it.Inspiration
Every time I am at the ocean, I take hundreds of pictures. I seem to never have enough, images not only capture the coast beautifully, but the need to immortalize the memory is always important. As a mother myself, seeing this mother play with her child made my heart sing, and I couldn't resist.Editing
This image was not overly processed. In my camera bag
I usually use relatively inexpensive equipment. I take pictures as a hobby, a way to make people smile, to document for prosperity, and to indulge my creative instincts. Although not a photographer, or artist by profession, I have always had to belief that one can be creative on a budget. They fact I go to many wet and dirty places in nature has encouraged me to be inexpensive in my camera.Feedback
Be spontaneous, take risks. I try to challenge myself finding beauty in big, small, and the innocuous. I often let mother nature guide me and she rarely lets me down.
