Thanks for all the feedback, my life took a big turnaround in 2017 so I don't get much spare time for photography ( well I take pictures with my phone when I can) but Family is first, My camera will be there when I have time to myself again!

Location
I was on a hen weekend At Forest Pines resort in Sherwood Forest England. Having lived away from the UK for 10 years I didn't leave my camera behind, we were walking down towards the restaurant and came across these thistles. I let everyone else walk on, and grabbed my camera and started to take some pictures in different angles. I wanted to capture the light, the magical feelingTime
The time of day was just before sunset, but the sun was still high enough to give the highlights in the pictures.Lighting
The lighting is all natural, I set the camera to utilise the golden glow that the low sunset had created.Equipment
Camera was D5200 with the 18-55mm lens. No tripod or. FlashInspiration
The glow of the evening highlighted the cobwebs and dandelion seeds which reminded me of fairies dancing around the thistles. Hence the title.Editing
Actually no I haven't done anything to the image other than cropping it to highlight the thistles better. In my camera bag
I am a beginner so I've just got my D5200 and the 18-55mm plus a 70-300mm both of which came with the camera and a second hand prime 50mm which I have only used occasionally. My tripod, a Polaroid filter lens. And a spare battery. I'd love a macro lens, that's my next item on my wishlist.Feedback
I guess, I would say that if you see a scene that jumps out at you, then stop, think about how you want to take the shot, and then take it, check your image in camera and then take a few more from different angles. Oh and to actually enjoy the moment too. I stood for a few minutes after taking the pictures just to enjoy watching the wind move the cobwebs and dandelion seeds.
