Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on the outskirts of Chicago, at a abandoned factory on a winter day.

Time

It was in the afternoon when I took this shot, it was getting very stormy however. The clouds were starting rocky storm up!

Lighting

The lighting was very nice as a matter of fact, despite the clouds it was right during the peak of a storm taking over the sky. I got a good mix of lighting and clouds, and it was perfect!

Equipment

I used a cannon t5i and nothing else for this shot believe it or not. Along with my standard lens.

Inspiration

I love gloomy days, and the skyline is a beautiful site but it has the mix of abandoned pillars in the frame which gives it the best of both worlds.

Editing

Not really, I just had to handle the contrasts and saturation levels with this one

I always have my canon t5i and a disposable with me
