Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken in Peyton, CO on July 22, 2013

Time

This photo was taken at 4:38 PM, Colorado time.

Lighting

I took this photo along with others of the butterflies this day and it is the only photo with the background coloring. I don't know if it was the angle I took the photo that created the different background coloring from the other photos as I didn't change anything on the camera itself.

Equipment

Camera: Kodak EasyShare Z981 Digital Camera Apature f/5 ISO: 64 Shutter Speed: 1/125 Focal Length: 727/10

Inspiration

I love butterflies and my son's flowers attract them and this particular day I was able to capture them. Usually butterflies move so quickly I find it hard to get good shots but this day the heat must have had them moving slower, allowing me to capture them.

Editing

I'm not a very technical photographer and since this photo was taken almost 5 years ago I can't remember doing anything to change the original taking of this photo. The most I do now on my I-phone (which is my camera of choice) is only to lighten a photo, nothing else.

In my camera bag

I only use my I-phone for photos as my Kodak camera had issues and unfortunately the camera store I went to told me Kodak was no longer in business and that my camera couldn't be repaired...well, I believed them and just tossed the camera. I have a Nikon cool pic that I use occasionally but I don't really like....to complicated and I only shoot on auto as I am not technically savvy...

Feedback

Patience and a love of your subject. My friends love my photos and I just shoot what makes me happy.
