This is Space Shuttle Discovery landing at Edwards Air Force Base, Palmdale. CA 1988. Sorry for the graininess of the picture. It touched down almost 1-2 mile from where me & my Nephew were standing.I was using a 35 mm Nikon with a 500 mm lens & a 2 X converter. It was the first landing of the Space Shuttle since the Challenger disaster in 1986.
