I took this photo at Scripps Pier in La jolla, California. I'm still pretty new to photography and am teaching myself so this was a very rewarding shot to capture.Time
I took this photo around 6 pm after a long day of traveling and exploring around San Diego. I remember wanting to end my photo adventure day with a cool sunset picture so I ended up at this pier. I set my tripod up and went for it!Lighting
The lighting in the picture Is all natural. I love the different colors in the background.Equipment
This was shot with my Samsung Nx300 using my 18-55 mm lens. I also used my 50" Targus tripod.Inspiration
I follow a lot of photography accounts on Instagram and always see this spot as a very popular photo spot. So I decided I would try and take photos here. It's such a cool spot because of the way the pier is designed.Editing
I did not do any post processing on this photo. What you see is how I captured it!In my camera bag
I always carry my Samsung nx300 with the 18-55mm lens with it. I usually carry around some polarizing and neutral density filters as long as the flash attachment for the camera.Feedback
One tip is to make sure to follow the weather. San Diego is usually always sunny but sometimes it gets extremely cloudy on the coast and that usually hides the sun and would make this type of shot difficult to achieve.
