Location
This photo was taken at the Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans, LA.Time
This was a day in July at the aquarium. This was actually one of the first photos I took that day.Lighting
Because I was shooting through the glass at the aquarium, I used no flash. I had to put my lens as close to the glass as possible to keep from getting a glare.Equipment
This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 5D. Focal length was 35mm. ISO 1600, 1/60, f2.8Inspiration
I was just spending the day at the aquarium taking photographs. I lucked up and found three sting rays together. And they were right at the glass looking at me and "smiling". It made my day to get this image.Editing
I just did basic post-processing work in Photoshop like contrast adjustment. In my camera bag
I have since upgraded to a Canon 5D Mark III which I love! I almost always have that with me or a Canon 7D Mark II. I carry spare batteries and spare camera cards. I have several lenses on hand at all times.Feedback
When photographing in an aquarium, I recommend not trying to use a flash and put your lens as close to the glass as possible to reduce glare.
