Location
This photo was taken near Little Thetford in Cambridgeshire; a village not far from Ely in the heart of The Fens.Time
It was on a mid-morning dog walk with my dear departed Labrador, Stella. We were having our Sunday stroll and hunting geocaches on our route.Lighting
I'd seen the shed loads of times before while in the area but something about the moody sky made it come to life that day.Equipment
Would have been the Nikon D40 but handheld.Inspiration
I love finding old buildings in the countryside but often they're overgrown or fenced off ready for re-development...this one was crying out to be captured before it fell down or was demolished.Editing
Just put the RAW file through Lightroom for a little contrast...nature was very kind on that occasion. In my camera bag
A 50mm prime lens plus spare battery, memory cards, and lens wipes. Don't tend to carry too much on a normal day out as always had the doggy paraphernalia too.Feedback
Check the weather forecast and be patient for the right light and circumstances. Always keep your eyes peeled for interesting buildings that can add another dimension to a landscape shot.
