A beautiful capture of a delicate flower, welcome to VB. Let's see more!

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my neighbor's yard. This picture was definitely worth trespassing!

Time

This photo was taken during the middle of the day in a sunlit area.

Lighting

For this shot, I liked how the flower was slightly back-lit, leaving it brighter than its leafy surroundings. The light shines through the leaves!

Equipment

I used a small Canon Powershot camera. Nothing fancy - a great photograph can be produced from almost any camera!

Inspiration

I love photographing nature. I think natural symmetry and animal life is so interesting and pure, and I think this photograph reflects my views on the subject.

Editing

All I did with this particular picture is adjust the saturation and contrast. I believe some of the best photos are raw and unprocessed, so the less the editing, the better the outcome, in my perspective.

In my camera bag

I'm still saving up for professional equipment, so as a college student I typically only carry my phone and Canon Powershot camera.

Feedback

Try to utilize the macro setting on your device. This will hopefully leave the subject clearer and the background out of focus.
