Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the Ocean City area in Barbados

Time

I rent a cottage every year in Barbados and beside my cottage is a wonderful lady who takes care of all the stray cats in the neighborhood. She has them all fixed and is presently taking care of about 21 cats...Every morning I would walk past her place to capture shots of them all...This little lady cat peeked out of her garage door and the image I took begged to be called *I'm not allowed out*....

Lighting

This picture was taken in the bright daylight yet the garage and it's darkness within framed this little cat perfectly.

Equipment

I used my Canon Rebel T5 for this shot with a 300mm zoom lens, a camera I carry around with me constantly...

Inspiration

I have a great love for cats and their elegance...I own 4 myself and they are the loves in my life...

Editing

I am proud of the fact that I do not use photoshop in any of my pictures so this shot was straight out of the camera...

In my camera bag

I usually carry with me the Canon Rebel T5 and also a canon point and shoot SX 270....I am an avid amateur photographer and that's all I have at the moment...One day I hope to get a 600mm zoom as my passion is wildlife...

Feedback

being such an amateur photgrapher and always learning myself I find this section hard to fill in...This shot simply took soft words to the cat and her curiosity got me the shot !
