This photo was taken in the peach orchard in front of my house. I am a self-taught photographer, so I was ecstatic after capturing this moment between my daughter and niece.Time
This was taken late on a Sunday afternoon in November as my sister-in-law and I were taking pictures for our Christmas cards.Lighting
I know that at this time of day in our peach orchard serves as a beautiful opportunity for sunset photos. That day was crisp, clear, and Fall was well on it's way to Mississippi.Equipment
This was shot with my very first camera, a Canon Rebel T3i and the kit lens....I can't even remember what lens I had that day.Inspiration
I just saw my little girl and her cousin that she looks up to so much having fun and embracing the beautiful afternoon. My sister-in-law was actually the one who said, "hey, look at them." That's when I turned my camera their way.Editing
I did a little editing in Lightroom 5. My knowledge of editing was, and still is, very amateur. In my camera bag
That has changed a lot since I took this photo. I now always have my Canon 7d, 50mm 1.8, 70-200 2.8, and my 24mm 2.8.Feedback
I have learned that my best shots are usually the unplanned, in-the-moment photos. I try to shoot emotion, and moments shared between people that care deeply for one another.
