Location
This was taken in Stover Country Park, Devon, England, the Robin was flying from bush to bush and lingered just long enough for me to frame and take the shotTime
It was early in the morning, probably about 30 minutes after sunrise. I was walking my dogs and was concerned they would scare the Robin away befor I could get the shotLighting
I wanted the Robin to be framed by the holly and was really pleased with the resultEquipment
Nikon D7200 handheldInspiration
Always have the camera when I am out walking as you never know what opportunities will present themselves. I love taking images of birds.Editing
NoIn my camera bag
I normally only carry the D7200 as walking dogs does not lend itself to carrying a lot of equipment, If out on a planned trip I carry my full kit which has a number of lenses, filters etc and of course a sturdy tripodFeedback
Be patient, birds often return to the same roosting area, especially Robins who are very territorial
