Lapataia Bay is a fjord located in the north side of the Beagle Channel, in the southwest side of Tierra del Fuego Island. It is surrounded by forests belonging to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, although technically it is outside of that.

While geomorphologically Lapataia is actually a fjord, it was accidentally individualized with the term bay in the literature. Lapataia Bay belongs has a subpolar oceanic climate.

Lapataia Bay was originated by the action of glaciers.
