I took this image as the sun was setting, I was right below the Golden Gate Bridge. It was my first time in San Francisco, and my first time shooting the Golden Gate Bridge. I had no idea where the best spots were, as I learned, there is many "great spots" to shoot the Golden Gate Bridge. All changing depending on a variety of factors, fog, no fog, clouds, no clouds, time of day, weather, etc....Time
I shot this at golden hour.Lighting
Funny you ask....This was probably one of the last images I shot that day. The sun was below the horizon and it was getting dark quick. I was losing the chain in the foreground because it was so dark. Then i got the idea to light it, so I yelled to my friend to grab his iPhone and fire up the flashlight, I did the same with mine. Then we raked the light from our iPhones along the chain which is why it is lit. It kinda Makes the picture because the texture of the chain really stands out. And, thats due to the flashlights from our iPhones...lolEquipment
Canon 5D mark III, canon 24 - 105 lensInspiration
This was my third day in San Fran, and my 3rd day of shooting the Bridge. Each day I tried to find a different spot. I didn't know the area, and I was working an event all day so when I got off work I had very little time to find a spot before the sun set. It was a hurry up and hope that I had found a good spot. I had moved several times that evening to find this spot. I started closer to the bridge, Id take a few shots, then pick up my tripod and run further away from the bridge, take a few more pics, grab tripod and run until I got to this spot which I really liked.Editing
