Excellent background color makes the foreground special. particularly the contrast of the eyes of the bird. great

Thank you Aruntptly. Sadly when I got it printed the bird didn't stand out as much as it does the the picture here. May need to find another place to print it.

After reading a few descriptions on here I now realise that this picture should have been taken in raw and multiple shots taken all focusing on differ

This species is called PHOLIOTA CERIFERA

What I most like about this picture, is that the bottom right mushroom appears to jump out of the photo.

This was taken with my old phone. I would have preferred it to be taken with my 700D, but sadly I had left it at home this day.

When i came across this gum tree it just reminded me of the ripples in a pond.
