I am a crew member for a hot air balloon team which was participating in the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque New Mexico. On this morning I was lucky enough to be asked if I wanted to fly and took this photo as we were flying over the Rio Grande river just as the sun came out from behind the clouds.Time
This picture was taken around 7:30 AMLighting
This particular morning was overcast with a slight haze and then just as we were reaching the river the sun burnt through the haze and came out brilliantly.Equipment

I just happen to look back as we started to cross the river as the sun came out and seen all of the balloons flying over the river.Editing

Get involved in the sport and get to know some of the pilots so that you can experience the thrill of a life time. You can also pay for a ride but it is no where near as much fun as crewing. The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta event draws over 500 hot air balloons with all different shapes and colors from around the world and starts on the first Saturday of October each year and runs through the following Sunday. I cannot wait to get back out there is year again.
