Behind The Lens

Location

I was house sitting for my Aunt and Rylee I noticed jumped up on the mantelpiece over the fireplace. When I saw her looking in the mirror I thought it would make a great photo! my Aunt has redecorated since this photo was taken, the paneling is now a grey blue and the mirror is over the couch.

Time

The photo was taken at 3:44 pm on the 28th of December 2010

Lighting

nothing I can recall

Equipment

My Nikon Coolpix S550 digital camera with 6.3-31.5mm 1 : 3.5-5.6 with Nikkor 5x optical zoom

Inspiration

Just loved the look of the shot and gave me a bit of a laugh that a cat could be vain

Editing

A friend added the Canvas, as I wanted it to look like a painting as I was going to print an 8x10 of it to send to my cousin (it's really her cat, but she movie to New Zealand)

In my camera bag

just the digital camera that's all and someone adding the canvas look

Feedback

This is something hard for me to answer as I thought if I could paint I would love to paint this scene as I captured it (or would love to own one that looked like this) .To me a big part of photography is the eye of the beholder. I don't have the money for expensive cameras and equipment so I just carry around my this Nikon that can fit in my purse or pocket in case I come across that 'once in a lifetime' shot.
