The photo was taken from inside the car while travelling. I was standing on the frond seat of the car while shooting.Time
It was late in the afternoon so the sun possition was low. It's that time that the sun is really annoying when driving while facing it. But in this picture is beside us and creates that amazing effect while the wind from the open window blows her hair.Lighting
I enjoy shooting photos in similar circumstances when the sun creates beams while stands behind of my theme. It gives a dramatic effect and creates a kind of a texture. On the other hand there is a mystery around and gives a sense of connecting with God. A connection that reminds us that we have to find our own light.Equipment
I'm not an equipment proud photographer. This photo was taken with a pocket digital camera, an OLYMPUS FE-5020 with a 4,3-21,5mm lens. Since I cannot afford a descent dslr I' ve decided to be creative no matter what. It's easy to break down and say I wont do if I don't have the means or the circumstaces (in my case both was a problematic area) or just do it just to feed your soul. In this picture I haven't used a flash, I only had chosen the ISO in 400 because I was shooting from inside the car. The apperture was in f:8.3 and the shutter speed in 10/4000. I am also a wide angle lense fun because I give great importance to composition. In this case the lense has given a more dramatic result because of the slight destortion of the face.Inspiration
My dauther is my inspiration anyway. Despite from the fact that she is autistic (and that results of being hyperactive with a poor eye contact), there are times that she gives me amazing glances full of depth and meaning. These are the greater moments to photograph her. As I said above the existance of sun light close or behind of her gives her another form of existence. It's like her difficulties doen't exist and her spiritual self predominates.Editing
This photo was post-processed. I had to brighten the wole theme, except from the window with the sun, and to give more contrast. Thought I'm not a fun of filters I've used some extra light coming from the window because I liked the dramatic effect it created.In my camera bag

Using the sun with a subject can give great and dramatic results. The sun should be hidden from something (even if it's small) in order to get beams coming through the subject. The sun beams are a part of the composition so we should take advantage of them. I also give great value to face expressions. The more relaxed is the face with a sense of enjoying the nature the best the results. Even a dramatic expression can be interesting because the sun has a great power himself. My style of shooting is capturing the moment. No matter the scenery around a moment is precious. I just carry my ¨photographer´s eyes¨ wherever I am (even if I am closed in my house).
