Behind The Lens
Location
This photograph was taken during a hike in Sequoia National Park. My family was just wondering around and while looking at this sign, my brother lined up perfectly.Time
The hike began around noon on a very hot day in Northern California. It would have been taken around 2pm after an exhausting hike out to this gorgeous view.Lighting
All high light mid-afternoon sun!Equipment
This was shot with a Canon EOS REBEL T1i. I love this camera and have had it for quiet some time.Inspiration
While my family was hiking around the beautiful Sequoia National Park, we stopped to take in a view and nice breather. This metal sign stood out right away and looked like an old carved sign not done anymore. I was inspired by the sign and found a perfect model to be included as he just happened to walk into the shot while looking at the view.Editing
No!In my camera bag
First thing is first, I always have my Canon EOS REBEL T1i camera on hand. Normally I shoot with a fixed lens and do not bring any other with me. Occationally I will carry multiple lens, but not often. I like to enter an environment without anyone knowing.Feedback
Keep an eye out on your surroundings. Many people just walked directly by this sign without even giving it a second glance. Also never get nervous to try something new. It may work or may not, but you always learn something from the experience.
