Location
This photo was taken at Bowman Lake, Glacier National Park.Time
This picture is taken in the morning. In order to get to Bowman Lake we got up early to beat the crowds. We took an adventurous drive on a bumpy, gravel road to get to this remote location. Of course, we had to stop on the way at Polebridge Bakery to get their famous Huckleberry bear claws.Lighting
This photo shot had the lighting behind me which showcased the lake. I crunched down in order to get the beautiful rocks of Glacier in the photos.Equipment
This photo was shot with a Nikon D700 with 18-70 2.8. I did not use tripod or flash.Inspiration
This photo was inspired because I wanted to showcase the beautiful rocks of Glacier and the smoothness of the lake. It was just absolutely stunning.Editing
I brightened this up a tad but not much was needed because the colors are so vivid. In my camera bag
My bag consists of my 18-70 2.8 lens and 70-200 lenses. I like to pack light.Feedback
Bowman Lake is a very popular and remote location. You need to get up early to get there before the crowds. There is limited parking space. The wind picks up at any moment so you need to be there at the right time. My advice is to think of extraordinary angles when trying to capture this photo. Everyone can take a landscape photo but its angles and perspectives that make all the difference.
