Location
This photo was taken in my back yard in New Minas, NS Canada.Time
It was taken at 11 am on November 1, 2015.Lighting
It was one of those days you get in the fall, where the light filters through the leaves and bathes everything in a golden glow.Equipment
This was shot with a Fuji FinePix S1. No other equipment was involved.”Inspiration
Squirrels and chipmunks are frequent (and welcome) visitors to my bird feeder. They are so accustomed to me that I can feed them out of my hand. They don't mind posing for pictures either. The lighting, the colour of the leaves and the squirrel's fur just seemed to be a perfect representation of autumn in all its glory.Editing
No.In my camera bag
I usually carry only a spare battery in the camera bag. The camera is in my hand, ready to spring into action.Feedback
Be patient, and be prepared. Planned photo shoots are all well and good, but sometimes the moment leaps out at you and one shot is all you have before the subject moves, or the light changes. This is especially true when photographing wild animals.
