Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in my backyard in Odessa, Ontario, Canada. Jade was waiting for me to throw her ball for her.Time
This was a great shot I had just gotten home from work and took Jade out to play fetch, it was shot around 5pm.Lighting
I used all natural light and the reflection from the snow. I was able to shoot wide open with a fast shutter to freeze the moment and get beautiful Bokeh.Equipment
I used my Canon T3i and my 50mm F1.8 that I got as a Christmas present.Inspiration
Was looking to see how my new 50mm lens performed, as well Jade is a very cute subject to photograph.Editing
There wasn't much post-processing involved with this shot just brightened up the white in the snow and boosted the clarity on Jade's face.In my camera bag
The main equipment in my bag is my Canon T3i and my 18-55mm kit lens, 50mm and a 75-300mm. There's is also a Yongnuo 600ex Speed light an extra battery and memory cards for the camera. My tripod, lens cleaner and some reflectors, I am always trying to expand what goes in my bag.Feedback
The advice I would give is to shoot wide open to get the best Bokeh possible and use a high shutter speed to not only freeze your subject but also cut down on the light as the snow is very reflective.
